What information we collect and what we do with it

At Worlds Apart, there are different ways we collect information about you:

When you register with us, we ask for information like your name, e-mail address, address, and contact details. We keep a record of this information.

We keep a record of any emails you send us. This helps us to review any problems or concerns you've had with our products or services.

We also record and sometimes play back incoming calls. This helps us to continually improve our customer service and helps us when we're training new Worlds Apart staff.

We may also record information that you provide when you enter one of our competitions, send us a letter or if you interact with a Worlds Apart website (whether or not you are registered), such as on the Getting to Know You section of Dream Town. This helps us get to know more about our customers.

Under 18s

If you are under 18, you must ALWAYS get your parent(s)/guardian(s) permission before contacting and interacting with Worlds Apart and Dream Town - whether it's entering one of Worlds Aparts competitions, sending Worlds Apart a letter or accessing Worlds Apart’s websites, especially if you are providing Worlds Apart with personal information.

Worlds Apart consider any use of a Worlds Apart website (including Dream Town) without your parent(s)/guardian(s) permission to be unauthorised use. We accept no responsibility for unauthorised use.

Worlds Apart may need to check that your parent(s)/guardian(s) are happy for you to provide your information to us. Where Worlds Apart does need to check with your parent(s)/guardian(s), Worlds Apart will ask you for your parent’s/guardian’s contact details (usually an email address or telephone number) so Worlds Apart can then contact them.

Worlds Apart will always ask for your parent(s)’/guardian(s)’ permission where Worlds Apart wants to use your personal information for marketing or research purposes; to send you Worlds Apart’s newsletter or whether you are allowed to receive the prize and can comply with the competition terms and conditions, if you’re lucky enough to be selected to win a competition.
